Yet, the modern fitness world is saturated with shortcuts, hype, and generic 'one-size-fits-all' programs. These templates ignore the single most important variable in the equation: you.
My coaching philosophy is built on three core principles that stand in direct opposition to the mainstream.
1. Structure Over Everything
We don’t guess, we strategize. Every aspect of your training and nutrition protocol is a deliberate decision, designed to move you toward a specific goal.
From exercise selection and volume management to macronutrient cycling, we build a comprehensive and adaptable blueprint.
This isn't a workout plan; it's an architectural approach to building your dream physique.
2. Data, Not Dogma
Progress is measured in objective data, not subjective feelings. We use weekly check-ins, detailed logs, and visual feedback to make logical, evidence-led adjustments. We listen to the feedback from your body and combine it with principles from scientific literature and proven “bro-science” strategies. There are no sacred methods here—only what is optimal for you, right now. If the data shows something isn't working, we pivot without ego. If you are making progress, we won’t change things just to change things.
3. Education as Empowerment
I am not here to simply give you a plan to follow. My ultimate goal is to make you self-sufficient. I will teach you the 'why' behind every decision we make, ensuring you understand your body, your training, and your nutrition on a deeper level. You'll learn how to autoregulate, how to identify plateaus, and how to structure your own progress. This is about giving you the tools for a lifetime of intelligent training, not just for the time we work together.
This approach isn’t for everyone. It’s not for the casual gym-goer looking for a quick fix.
It’s for the bodybuilder who needs an objective, analytical eye for a successful contest prep. It’s for the serious, dedicated lifter who is tired of spinning their wheels and wants to finally train with purpose and precision.

I’m Gilles Arteel — bodybuilder, coach, and author.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been into lifting weights.
Over the years, I’ve helped tons of friends and family become healthier, stronger versions of themselves.
When I started training, 10+ years ago—it was hard to find good information. I had to figure it all out myself through trial and error.
Now it’s the opposite: there’s so much information that it’s hard to separate what really matters from what’s misleading or irrelevant.
So I started coaching because I was tired of seeing athletes waste their time on:

❌ Bad nutrition advice
❌ Reckless PED use
And even with the rise of AI, I believe there’s still huge value in having a good coach by your side.
While AI can spit out a workout program or meal plan, it won’t check up on your progress.
It won’t push you when you need it—or pull you back when you’re going too hard.
It doesn’t care about how you feel or whether or not you’re progressing.
For me, bodybuilding is my life. And helping people reach their goals is genuinely satisfying.

The Brand - Geared Philosophy
The modern fitness world is full of distractions. Trends, life hacks, and the fear of training too hard. The focus is on fitting in, not on getting ahead.
The result is an environment where true intensity is rare, and fundamental principles are being ignored for the latest gimmick.
GEARED is not a reaction to this.
GEARED is the standard for those who never identified with it in the first place.
We exist for the generation that hear the stories of the veterans and wish we had lived it. The ones who don’t fall for the latest hype and return to the essence:
intelligent, structured, and uncompromisingly hard work. Our products are not accessories; they are tools.
Every item is minimalist, functional, and designed with a single purpose:
to support your training, to make your data more precise, and to enable you to increase intensity. My rule is simple: if it's in the store, it's in my gym bag. I don't sell anything I don't personally use and believe in.
GEARED is not a brand you wear to show where you are. It’s a brand you use to get where you want to be.
It is a silent agreement among those who know there are no shortcuts. Hard work is the only way.
The Core Values
Purpose: Every product has a clear, functional role. A belt is for support, a pin is for intensity, a measuring tape is for objective data. Design follows function.
Intensity: Tools are made to push boundaries. They are for the sets that count, for the reps that make the difference. We facilitate the mentality of
"leaving no reps in reserve" by providing the means to do it safely and effectively.Authenticity: GEARED stands on its own. We don't shout, we don't need to compete. The value is in the product and the philosophy, not the marketing.

The GEARED athlete is a student of the sport. Age is irrelevant; mindset is everything. They are ambitious, analytical about their training and nutrition, and have a deep respect for the process. They feel like an outsider in the commercial fitness culture and seek out tools that reflect their serious approach.
